Die WANDWERKE sind ein künstlerisches Dienstleistungsangebot, dass sich in temporär leerstehenden Räumen und auf Wänden ausbreitet. Es begreift den öffentlichen Raum als Atelier. Wo `Frei-Raum´ ist entfaltet sich das Angebot.
Die vordergründige Dienstleistung ist, dass auf Basis meines künstlerischen Archivs von Motiven für die Wände der Auftraggebenden ein individueller Entwurf angefertigt wird. Die Bilder verdecken zwar eine freie Wand, geben aber paradoxerweise in dieser Verdeckung den Blick frei auf etwas weit Dahinterliegendes. Das Bild gibt assoziative Anlässe über die dargestellte Sache hinaus zu denken.
Die einzige Begrenzung der Bilder ist das Ende der Wand. Direkt daran anschließend fängt das reale Leben an. Die Bilder gehen eine Liaison mit dem umliegenden Kontext ein. Eigentlich sind sie ein Ereignis des täglichen Umfeldes. Anliegen der WANDWERKE ist, Kunst nicht nur ideell in Umlauf zu bringen, sondern sie mitten im Leben zu platzieren. Mit größter Selbstverständlichkeit nehmen die WANDWERRKE ihren Platz. Ihr „Dahinter“ schimmert durch und erlaubt Überraschungsmomente, in denen Bild und Wirklichkeit neu verhandelt werden.
Wandwerke
The WANDWERKE is an artistic service that spreads out in temporarily vacant rooms and on walls. It understands the public space as a studio. Where there is 'free space', the offer unfolds.
The ostensible service is that on the basis of my artistic archive of motifs an individual design is made for the walls of the client. The pictures cover a free wall, but paradoxically in this concealment they open the view on something far behind. The picture gives associative occasions to think beyond the represented thing.
The only limitation of the pictures is the end of the wall. Directly after it, real life begins. The pictures enter into a liaison with the surrounding context. Actually they are an event of the daily environment. The concern of the WANDWERKE is not only to circulate art ideally, but to place it in the middle of life. The WANDWERRKE take their place with the greatest of ease. Their "behind" shimmers through and allows moments of surprise in which image and reality are renegotiated.
Das Angebot der „WandWerke“ wandert und kann sich an jedem Ort ausbreiten, an dem `Frei-Raum´ ist.
